While the law funds 2020 provides for a generalization of the electronic invoice starting in 2023, the last Gartner report provides an overview of the application landscape to help companies prepare for this evolution. Taking into account their presence in the markets of Purchasing management, supplier procurement and accounting (Procurement), billing-payment (Account payable), business-to-business document exchanges (Supplier network) and Compliance, the research firm has positioned three players at the centre of the game: Basware, Coupa and SAP Ariba. According to analysts at Gartner, SAP, the leader in the first of these four markets with 30% of sales, connects all stakeholders (buyers, suppliers, financial institutions, tax authorities) on its platform to streamline and secure invoice processing, relies on partners in different countries to cover a wide geography taking into account local regulations, and offers additional services to speed up payments.
